There is a saying that anger means you’ve been quiet for too long. So when someone is pushing your buttons, that could be a signal that you have not spoken up about something. Because they couldn’t push your buttons if they weren’t already created. So instead of getting angry at them, ask yourself, “Why does this behavior or situation annoy me? Why do I always get upset?” And then work on reducing the size of that button so the next time someone attempts to push your buttons you no longer feel the need to react.
