Don’t get caught up in what went wrong

You give a stellar presentation at work, throw an amazing party, make an amazing dinner for family, etc. You get high fives, compliments and praise for a job well done, except for one person. One person had criticism. They think you could have done a better job, the party was okay but they would have done things differently or the food was okay but a little dry. And instead of basking in the glow of your accomplishments, you instead get sucked in, and begin to harp on what they said. This steals your joy and turns something you were originally very proud of into crap. And there is no need for that. The next time you find yourself harping on what is wrong, force yourself to change the channel to what is right and what you’ve done right.
