Last week, I talked to you about Stop & Shop and their marketing and using their Rewards Cards to actually reward their customers. Today, I want to talk to you about another way they are spreading their brand.
When I swipe my Rewards Card, not only do I get the discounts for having the card. I also get points for each dollar I spend. When I get up to 100 points I can use those points to get ten cents off a gallon of gas at Shell Station. I can go up to 300 points and so 30 cents off at the pump.
This is a stellar idea to me.
So, what does this mean for you, my stellar women entrepreneurs?
Team up with other businesses that complement your own and are reaching out to the same audience. It’s a perfect way to expand your reach to another audience and also add value to your current audience. In order for your business to grow you have to get out there to as many of your potential clients as possible and partnering up with another business is a one way to do that.
So, your assignment this week is to make a list of the business that complement and don’t compete with your business and reach out to the same audience. Once you have that list of at least ten, come up with an idea of how you could partner up with them. Make it a win/win/win situation where you, your partner and your customers all get something out of it.
Finally, contact them and get the ball rolling. Put aside your fear that you’re not ready or you have to be established or whatever excuse you are creating for putting off getting this assignment done. Just start dialing, emailing, Skype calling, whatever.
What partnerships are you going to start working on?
